This chemical dependency service offers four levels of service, all designed for adults, 18 years or older, including geriatric patients.
22 inpatient eds with an average length of stay of 2.6 days. Patients receive medically managed detoxification from alcohol, opiates, barbiturates, or any other drug which may cause physical injury or harm during detoxification.
Each visit consists of a minimum of 6 hours per day,k made up of group and individual therapy sessions which are medically managed (physician oversight provided on a daily basis). Patients attend treatment 6 days per week. The purpose of this service is to avoid inpatient hospitalization for patients who do NOT need 24 hours nursing care, but still need a high level of service intensity. Many of our patients ahve received inpatient detoxification from Mercy, and are then served at this lower level of care. Requires physician order and certification of medical necessity to participate.
Each visit consists of a minimum of 3 hours per day of group and individual therapy sessions. Patients attend 3 to 5 visits per week. Day and Evening IOP services are available. Many of our patients have been discharged from inpatient detoxification and PHP levels of care, and they are decreasing their level of service intensity as they progress in their recovery.
At this level of care, a patient may be referred to a community therapist for a continuation of care as they progress in their recover.
