Safety Department

879-3191

The Safety Department ensures the ongoing safety of all patients, visitors and employees as well as all structures, grounds and equipment in addition to the surrounding community and environment.

Please contact the Safety Department if you need to report an incident of property damage, occupational illness or injury, health hazards or if you have questions or concerns regarding the handling of hazardous waste or any other safety issue.

Emergency/Disaster Preparedness

Mercy's Disaster Preparedness Plan ensures that Mercy effectively protects the safety and health of staff, patients and visitors and ensures effective response to disasters and emergencies that affect the environment of care and impede Mercy's ability to provide quality services.

We have identified the need to design, implement and continuously monitor the effectiveness and reliability of an Emergency Management Plan.  The plan details the process of how to effectively respond to an emergency or disastrous event.

The Emergency Management Plan is implemented at least twice a year, either in response to an emergency or in planned drills.
