Pharmacy

The Mercy Hosital Pharmacy is located on the 4th floor at our 144 State Street location.  The Pharmacy Director is John Dello-Stritto, RPh

The pharmacy is staffed from 6am until 11pm; for off-hour support page the clinical advisor at 741-1042 who will then contact the on-call pharmacist as needed.

Patient safety is our foremost concern.  Lists of accepted terms and abbreviations are available on request.

Special services available include the following:

  • Coumadin dosing:  The pharmacist will initiate and titrate coumadin dosing for any patient when the physician writes an order in the patient's chart requesting "pharmacy to dose coumadin".
  • Aminoglycoside dosing:  The pharmacist will manage through schedules and dosing, as appropriate, on request.
  • Formulary substitution:  The pharmacy will initiate substitution of drug based on Mercy's formulary.

Adverse Drug Reaction (ADR) tracking:  Please report any possible drug reactions to the pharmacy.  Simply dial 879-DRUG or, from in-house, extension DRUG (3784).
