The Portland Community Free Clinic (PCFC) is a private-public partnership linking volunteers, Mercy Hospital, the Health and Human Services Department, the Public Health Division of the City of Portland, and other contributors. The purpose of the PCFC is to provide free, comprehensive health care to low-income, uninsured adults in the Greater Portland area.
A diverse group of physician volunteers donates time each month to the clinic. While the bulk of the service is provided by our volunteer internists and family practitioners, specialists in the areas of allergy, cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, podiatry, psychiatry, and pulmonary care also donate their time to serve clinic clients. Physician volunteers are scheduled just one evening a month for approximately two to three hours. If you are interested in volunteering at the PCFC, please call the clinic at 874-8982 for more information.
