Mercy Health System of Maine is committed to conducting business in compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations. All employees, members of the Medical Staff and volunteers have an ethical responsibility to report any violations or possible violation of laws and regulations. In addition, as a member of the Medical Staff, you should be familiar with the standards of conduct which are inherent in the Medical Staff Bylaws, the Code of Ethical Behavior, the Mission and Values Statement of the hospital, the Disruptive Practitioner Policy, and the Impaired Practitioner Policy and conduct all business and clinical activities in accordance with these policies. These referenced documents are available on a CD which you will find in the front pocket of your handbook.
