Birthplace

879-3550

The Birthplace at Mercy Hospital is a family centered unit that provides care via the Labor, Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum (LDRP) model of single room maternity care.  The unit meets the birthing needs of low to moderate risk childbearing women and their families.  The Level II Special Care Nursery provides a supportive environment for the well newborn as well as for the newborn who may experience medical problems.  A cornerstone of the birthing philosophy at Mercy Hospital is the empowerment of women to give birth in the safe manner of their choice, with their families present.  An individualized plan of care provides the foundation for a truly personalized patient experience.

Our continuum of care provides support to childbearing families during pregnancy as well as through labor, birth and the immediate postpartum recovery period.  Utilizing a collaborative team approach, The Birthplace at mercy Hospital achieves outstanding patient care results through high touch, high tech care.  Education in all aspects of the birthing experience from early conception to breastfeeding is provided by Birthplace staff.
