Mercy Hospital Appointments & BillingAt Mercy, we believe taking care of you means making the whole process as convenient and easy as possible. Central scheduling makes it easy to make appointments, while pro-active patient preregistration will save you time when you arrive for you appointment.

How to Make Appointments
To schedule a diagnostic exam you will need an order from your physician. Your physician's office will provide the order to Mercy, contact your insurance company for approval for payment, and schedule your appointment at a time that is convenient for you. If you need to change the date and/or time of a scheduled appointment please call Central Scheduling at (207) 879-3737, between 7:30 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Note: It is your responsibility to verify with your insurance company that the test will be covered under your policy.

  • Bone Densitometry
  • Cardiac Testing - EKG, Echo with Doppler, Stress Tests, Cardiac Catheterization, Holter Monitors
  • Diagnostic Procedures - bronchoscopies, colonoscopies, endoscopies, and sigmoidoscopies
  • Mammograms
  • Physical Therapy, Aquatic Therapy, Occupational, and Speech Therapy (first appointment only)
  • Pre-Admission Testing
  • Surgery
  • Diagnostic Imaging 

After we book your appointment, patient preparation instructions will be mailed to you, if necessary.

Scheduling and registration for services provided at Mercy Medical Associates practices and VNA Home Health Health & Hospice are handled directly by those facilities.

Laboratory services are available on a walk-in basis between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm for most blood draws.*  We offer lab services at Mercy State Street, Fore River Medical Building, Mercy Westbrook, Mercy Windham, and Mercy Primary Care Center, 177 Auburn Street.

*Glucose tolerance tests, lactose intolerance tests, and ACTH Stimulation tests should be scheduled through Central Scheduling by calling (207) 879-3737.  For a menu to assist you in navigating our phone system, click here.
