At Mercy, we believe taking care of you means making the whole process as convenient and easy as possible. Central scheduling makes it easy to make appointments, while pro-active patient preregistration helps ensure you arrive for your appointments fully prepared.
To make, cancel, or change an appointment for the services listed below, please call Central Scheduling, between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday. After we book your appointment, patient preparation instructions will be mailed to you, if necessary.
Your physician's office may also schedule appointments for you. To change or cancel an appointment made by your physician's office, please use the central scheduling number below.
The services listed below can be scheduled through one central number, 879-3737.
Scheduling and registration for services provided at our Mercy Affiliates, including the Mercy Primary Care Centers and VNA Home Health Care, are handled directly by those facilities.
Patient Preregistration: (207) 879-3860
Our goal is to connect you to the department you need, promptly and smoothly. Through "pre-registration", we hope to have everything ready when you walk in the door. When possible, we will call you at home before your appointment to obtain the necessary information. If the department you are scheduled with needs to copy an updated insurance card or obtain a consent signature at the time of your visit, our central scheduling staff will let you know that ahead of time.
Patient Billing (207) 879-3470
Mercy participates in all major health insurance plans and Medicare and Medicaid. Many private
or commercial health insurance companies and HMO's now require "pre-authorization" before a hospital
admission, surgery, or other major medical procedure. We encourage you to contact your health
insurance company for approval before your scheduled procedure. Pre-approval will minimize delays
and reassure you that your health insurance or HMO will cover your medical expenses.
If you have questions about your insurance, we encourage you to call Patient Billing.
If you don't currently have a health insurance plan, we would be happy to help you identify any community resources for which you might qualify. Mercy will work with you to identify a manageable long-term payment plan and/or to determine if you qualify for our free care program.
